For years, we were renters. While we were saving to buy our first home, we had to be intentional with our spending, but we were determined to cultivate a space we loved. So we focused on quality over quantity, picked timeless furnishings that we knew would work in our forever home, and made sure to take care of our investments. We also did a lot of DIY painting — from walls to outdoor furniture to our very own original artwork — to elevate our space for very little cash.
